About TJ Automation Inc.

In April of 1997, Tracy Hammersmith established TJ Automation Inc. Tracy has over twenty years of experience as an automated machine specialist. Prior to opening TJ Automation, he was a partner with another machine business that was founded in 1988.

The company, while only starting out with a handful of people, has more than tripled in size. Just one year ago, we put an addition onto our buildings, making our facility 36,000 square feet in total. We are in the process of becoming ISO 9001:2000 qualified. We take great pride in our company and products that we supply to our customers. Currently we employ thirty- seven personnel, while continuing to expand and diversify our customer base and product line through continuous research and development and marketing.

With a full engineering staff we have the capabilities to meet all of our customers needs. From the designing of the print, to the manufacturing, design and certification of gages, the building and wiring of electrical panels and programming PLC logic with a variety of different controllers, to fabrication of the machine. We also have our own in-house tooling department working with tolerances ±0.0001 of an inch. We have the capabilities to complete a job, from start to finish.

Here are some highlights of some of the types of fabrication we have previously done. We have bent all types of tubing from Aluminum to Stainless in a vast amount of sizes. We have worked with the basic stainless steel tubing ranging from 1/8” to 1”. In addition, we have worked with wire ranging from 20 gage to ¼”, and hard drawn piano wire for lumbar support. We also build a variety of nylon tube benders form CVT nylon, PA-12, PA-11, ETFE, EFEP, PVDF, FEP, EPDM, Sanopreme and polypropylene. As well as building benders, we also build spot welders, leak test/hose insertion, assemblers, conveyors, part transfers and automated laminating machines.

Not only have we grown internally, but our growth in the automation industry has expanded as well. As with any new company, we started out supplying a modest amount of businesses, and now we are associated with a considerable number of companies nationwide. Just last few years we have started to build for another four major companies. Our current customer base is approximately 20-30 different corporations U.S. and International.
